Building strong foundations today to empower tomorrow’s leaders.

Across the communities we serve, young people are actively participating in programs that spark curiosity, strengthen confidence, and promote academic achievement. From afterschool clubs and mentorship groups to teen leadership opportunities and summer camps, these programs aren’t just meaningful—they’re transformative.

In fact, 71% of youth in the communities we serve are currently enrolled in structured learning or enrichment programs. For many families, these opportunities are vital. They offer a safe, supportive space where young people can discover their strengths, stay motivated in school, and develop the life skills needed for long-term success.

Evidence – Based Programs That Work

The impact of high-quality youth programming is well-documented. According to the Afterschool Alliance, students who attend enrichment programs regularly show:

  • Improved school attendance
  • Higher grades
  • Greater motivation to learn

Additionally, long-term studies from organizations like Brookings reveal that students involved in these programs are more likely to graduate high school, attend college, and secure stable employment.

Beyond academics, these experiences build crucial life skills—such as emotional resilience, teamwork, and communication—that shape confident, engaged adults.

Connected Communities’ Commitment

At Connected Communities, we believe access to quality youth programming is non-negotiable. That’s why we invest in developing and expanding programs that:

  • Help students complete high school on time
  • Prepare them for college and careers
  • Foster social-emotional development
  • Engage parents and families in the process

Already this year, we’ve helped more than 150 families connect with enrichment opportunities—and we’re just getting started.

Growing Partnerships, Growing Impact

These results don’t happen in isolation. They happen because we work with mission-aligned partners who understand the power of youth development. Together, we build environments where young people are encouraged, equipped, and empowered to succeed.

As summer approaches, many of our communities are gearing up to host daily or weekly youth programs, either directly or through collaboration with local organizations. These shared efforts make a meaningful difference—not just for participants, but for entire neighborhoods.

Looking Ahead

We know the outcomes of youth investment are long-term. That’s why our strategy is intentional, evidence-based, and deeply rooted in community needs. When we provide consistent opportunities for learning and leadership, we’re not just filling afternoons—we’re building futures.

Because when young people thrive, communities thrive. And that’s a future worth working for.
